Drawing 1:1 at Villa Park, after we had attempted to defend a one nil lead against ten men, and winning the championship for Newcastle. That is when he should have resigned.

Don't think we sat back that day. Seem to recall both March and Baldock fluffing chances to further the lead.

Not beating Bristol at home, which left us needing a win at Villa, was a piss take.

Regards when we went down to10 men. Against Palace at home thankfully Andone finished the job just before half time otherwise Hughton’s h/t talk would have been to defend what we had and settle for a point (which would have probably turned out to be a defeat).

Fulham was the big flashing neon sign pointing the way to disaster. But IMHO the first glimmer of a problem was the two goals against West Ham.
The Fulham game with the four goal turnaround was the pivotal moment. It showed that if a feeble team like Fulham can come back against us ANY team could get a result as if they had a go.

Teams quickly learned that we have no out ball and very little chance of hitting them on the break.
