In the papers this week they reported that Roast Chicken has taken over from Beef as the nations favourite roast dinner. On a Sunday I still prefer Beef but do have Chicken or Belly Pork as a midweek roast.

Not really as Mrs BG says it is one of the cheapest dinners if there are a number of people and when we look after the grandchildren whilst parents work there are 6 of us. So roast chicken or belly pork is a cheap option, in fact any cut of pork is at the moment. That is not to say it will stay that way with China buying most of our pork.

No roast today and chicken or lamb is my usual choice.

Will probably make an easy meal today of boil in the bag savoury rice and open a can of stewed steak. That's my contribution to Sunday cooking.

naughty but deserved.
