The Amex pitch looked really nice against Southampton.

(copyright my Dad who always used to say that about the Goldstone pitch whenever it was remotely true...)

Seeing Stephens playing attacking passes to Bernardo,.
There was finally someone making themselves available, who wasn't going to immediately lose the ball.
Stephens passed to him twice and we immediately looked like we might pose some sort of threat.

Glimpses, sure. And in reality the threat was minimal.
But it was nice to see.

Lovely glimpse of Bissouma last night too. The miserablists won't like to hear it but we have signed a player of huge potential in him.

This thread was no doubt started as a funny joke but even in the last two disappointing matches there IS so much to readily find that is positive about the Albion at the moment...!!!

Rayners Lane
Pros: no one got booked/sent off and therefore suspended for their ‘cup final’

Cons: no one got booked/sent off and therefore suspended for their ‘cup final’*

*forcing CH to look outside his preferred XI and try something different.

**remains to be seen whether Locadia/March will be fit for Saturday.

Yes.

We’ve missed Frankie Howerd (the Goldstone Groundsman and winger in the 50’s).

He was such a lovely Gentleman and so proud to have played for the Albion (200 times). He carried his 57-58 (I think) promotion medal around with him and loved showing it to anyone who was interested.

Who, in your opinion, has?

As the subject is quite subjective, and possibly opens up a game of tennis with views, I have done it in my mind with those that ARE PL standard in my mind.

Last night we barely got a kick against a side that are nowhere near winning their domestic League, men v boys scenario, and we cannot hold the ball nor take people on effectively.

Take an example; can you honestly see us, in the current format, producing a display against a big boy such as Palace winning at City? Also, when was the last match in the PL where we came away with a performance of domination/victory/quality?
