Does anyone over East Sussex know what the score is with this pub?

Is it closed indefinitely?

We have a potential funeral reception there.

Thanks

Harty

I thought the locals were buying it. A friend of mine has pledged money. I’ll try to find out from him.

I heard today that a local man had purchased it and wants to reopen the pub.

When I went past last summer it looked very rundown so there's a fair chance you've done your money.

But maybe it's been done up and ready to open again. Fingers crossed for you.

Wow this pub brings back memories from about 25 years ago.

Went there to eat after Plumpton Races a few years back. The food was pretty poor - the worst being the fresh Harveys beer battered fish and ships where my mate cut into the fish to find it was still wrapped in cling film inside the batter.

Used to use it in the eighties when I lived in the area. Was a great pub then with good food. It had to be as it was in competion with 5 Bells at Chailey which at that time was run by Joe Cornielus the ex wrestler. 2 great pubs in a short distance
