FT. Now a weekend of waiting for the Montserrat lads to see if they will finish in the top ten, which would give them a place in the Gold Cup. If they do, we may see Montserrat (pop. 4,490) vs Mexico or the USA.

Montserrat is a great place to visit for a say or two. If anyone is holidaying in Antigua then take a ferry over for the day. The destruction from the Soufriere Volcano was immense.

I'm pretty sure Shoreham recently had a goalkeeper who played for Montserrat. Can't remember his name

In the other fascinating game of this round, it is currently Sint Maarten 3 Saint Martin 2 as two halves of one small island fight each other to avoid the wooden spoon. It's the Dutch leading the Frogs at the moment.

And elsewhere, Dominica 4 Bermuda 0 is a great score from Montserrat's point of view.

How does that work? Everyone is eligible to play for any national team now?

That's how it has always worked. Prevalence (of guns for hire hired) is related only to how discerning or needy the nation sees itself and, ditto the individual.

All you've ever needed is a grandfather of that nationality. Also, the volcanic eruption caused a wide dispersion of people from Montserrat.
