We have a son working in Cromwell working in the South Island and we as a family visited NZ in October/November last year and never felt so safe,amazing green and clean country with people just so helpful and friendly in an open as it should be in free society. Absolutely no security on internal flights weight in your luggage collect your boarding and what to be called for flight. Genuine remorse and sadness as NZ will never be the same again. When we were in windy Welly just walked straight into NZ government building and you could read on boards 'what was what' with MP,s walking past you openly.Maybe i am wrong but i believe from what i know of NZ the people of NZ will be in tears.
I’ve never been into gaming, not for any virtuous reason, but I guessed that some people who war game might find this less shocking viewing. With some hateful loons in the western world actually loving it.
I suppose you have never watched horror movies either ? Or hard hitting documentaries ?

Even if other people on here have agreed with you, Enoch Powell was big-time wrong. An equivalent today would be far more likely to inspire this sort of thing rather than anything else.
There was this bloke about 2,000 years ago who told people to "Love their neighbour", and who in response to the question "Who is my Neighbour", told the story of the Good Samaritan when the relationship between Jews and Samaritans would have been as bad as anything we might know about today.
And if you want a more recent secular quote, how about Elvis Costello - "What's so Funny 'bout Peace, Love and Understanding".

We have been no more desensitised by arcade games than what we have been in the real world. We have had almost 20 years of constant gore in the news and documentaries whether in written form or visually.
It's just a coincidence that body cams give the same view as shoot em up games as body cams are used for many other things. We could blame the invention of the Gopro more than the game using flawed logic.

This whole "desensitised by video games" thing should be qualified with "some people are".
I've been playing violent games, watching violent films. listening to violent music since I was 10 years old. 23 years later I've still not watched any of those beheading videos and I won't be watching this shit either. Blood and gore, real blood and gore, sickens me. I struggle sometimes getting through shows like 24 Hours in A&E.

The vast majority of those who play Call of Duty, etc, etc, are in my humble opinion, not hardened or desensitised to real world atrocities.
I want you to know that as difficult as this day has been for me and other members of my community, your replies in particular are making it more difficult for me. Debates regarding religion have been going on for literally thousands of years. Independent of whether you are “right” or not, do you think you can wait until the blood from fifty innocent human beings is dry before denouncing their faith?
To others: thank you for your words. Do not pressure yourselves to defend my faith, just be there for your neighbors no matter their background, and pray for the souls of the departed and the health of the physically- and psychologically-injured. Being there for your neighbors, physical or electronic in our online communities, is what would be most helpful today.
You and your community have my deepest sympathies. I don't know why some people cannot get along. I have plenty of Muslim friends and colleagues and they must all be hurting, frightened and angry right now.

I am sure the thoughts conveyed in your last para would be echoed by all sensible people, who only wish to live in peace and coexist with their neighbour. But your first para rather contradicts this - whilst nationalism undoubtedly contributes to hate, you have conveniently left out that muslim extremism has exactly the same effect, and chosen to lay the blame in only one direction. If we are all going to get along, then co-operation needs to come from all sides. I appreciate that you may well agree with that, but your post did not make it clear.
