Good point!

Years ago I saw him on Parkinson (I think) and he was talking about how he could put any words to music. Parkinson asked him to do it to the conditions on the back of a rail/bus ticket, which he did brilliantly. Set up? Maybe but I was impressed.

Townes Van Zandt with a song covered by Willie Nelson and hundreds of other people. Van Zandt hated this version and disowned it. He thought it was over produced with the mariachi horns and claimed they were added without his approval. I personally love it.
