It was a District Judge not a magistrate. The notification was sent by post, so unless a signature was obtained, there's no actual proof she received it.

Papers are never sent "signed for", they are posted first class and are "deemed received", meaning if they say they posted it, it's up to you to make a statutory declaration to assert that you didn't.
The DJ said she didn't issue a warrant as it is a fine-only offence but she could have issued a warrant backed for bail so OB go round her house, arrest her then immediately bail her to appear at court.

I am no fan of Katie Price but you are right. One rule for the rich and one for the poor.
If she was the latter and not famous then this wouldn't probably have even gone to Court. The woman is being hounded by the media now. One would say she has made a fortune ''courting the media'' - More fool us for paying for it.
it is such a minor crime it really doesn't warrant all this attention. Go and catch a burglar or something

Mrs Nose is a bit of a 'celebrity watcher'. She buys the crappy magazines, reads all the pathetic articles in the papers (she has a high pressure and very clever job and reckons this is her 'release' from proper thinking
) and it infuriates her when celebrities court the media, open up their lives, give interviews, get them to come and photograph their family holidays, invite them into their homes, tell them about every intimate detail of their relationships - THEN... moan like crap when they feel their privacy has been invaded and the press are 'intruding'.One rule for when they want or need them, and one for when they don't. Well, news... it doesn't work like that.
