36 points still the target?

Personally don’t think it will be enough.

Exciting isn’t it.

I agree, probably more. I did feel Burnley would be sucked back in, as despite beating us, they actually aren't that good IMO.

Exciting? Nerve wrecking for me......

I think we need 2 more wins before we can start thinking about safety, especially if they are against Stains and Cardiff.

36 should be enough especially if the 3 come from beating Cardiff. I can see us winning all 3 games v Cardiff, Stains & Newcastle and fancy a surprise point from Spurs or Chelsea.

I recall lots of people predicting as few as 32 would be required this season only a few weeks ago. Hmm.

Cardiff next 4

Chelsea (h) City (a) Burnley (a) Liverpool (h)

Lose all those 4 and they are virtually down.

Win our home games ahead of City plus our usual 3 points from Wolves and safely in the top half.

Aim for 40 points as quickly as possible and then see where we are

It is exciting. We look decent, and results are attainable.

No.

This weekend was obviously the 'glimmer of hope' one.
We always have one, everybody wins and either curse they're luck that gaps haven't been narrowed or grateful gaps aren't bigger.

Normal service will resume next week.

One minor pedantic note. Only mug managers like Pards have point targets. Mr Hughton only ever has one target - 3 points (and somtimes just the one).

The target has always been 40. Minimum, We're not home and dry yet. It's been a great day for us, but equally good, for, those, around us. If we beat Stains and Bhaaadiff we'll be extremely close to a relaxed Summer

Win one draw one, especially if we avoid defeat to Cardiff and we will be safe, shame he results went the way they did today taken the gloss off of a fantastic win.

Hughton after today's match:

"I always maintained 40 points is the easiest and obvious one to look for. It's something to aim for and every team wants to surpass that."

:dunce:

I really really really hope Burnley end up going down.

1. I really don't like Burnley
2. It would shut old gravely voice up.
3. I really don't like Burnley
4. It would probably mean Cardiff will take one the bottom 3 slots next season
5. I really don't like Burnley

Cardiff will be a hideous game, as it always is against any Warnock team. They will be niggly, time-wasty, ugly and negative from the off. We will need to keep our heads and make it count.

Also, that non-penalty and the smug Tarkowski's big laughs about it afterwards. I would love to see Dyche and Tarkowski, and the more racist of their fans drop back down to the Championship.
