Result over performance, but the concerns remain. A wonder strike got us the win, but let's not pretend we played well or were the better team. Both teams were pretty poor - but we scored a worldy. And our defence is better.
All the commentators constantly dribbling about Wan-Bissaka and to a lesser extent Van Aanholt was annoying. Both are bang average Premier League players at best, and really ordinary on the day. A game bereft of quality, except the Knockaert wonder goal.

That’s football, always has been, always will be. Many a time ManU have been outplayed, yet nicked 3 points.
We’re just 19 months into PL football, doing it on a relatively low budget, with CP paying huge wages out of all proportion to other clubs, to obtain players they otherwise couldn’t get.
But their cheating couldn’t stop LL in the derbies.
The Albion team will improve with more windows.

Were Albion poor? I would suggest not. Maty Ryan had nothing to do all match and we reduced Palace to resorting to Benteke and Meyer to salvage something. That, for me, was an away performance to crow about - our best of the season perhaps all things considered.

It's such a funny game, football. Knockaert doesn't spank in a beauty and we get a 1-1 draw after a pretty dire performance, the mood on here is depressed. Especially after Southampton and Cardiff winning. Brilliant win for us today despite the performance and that's all that matters.

I thought first half we did very well away from home in a derby game. Even second half when we struggled to keep possession (as has been our achilles heel this season) we restricted them to pot shots. Don't remember Ryan making a save? That in itself is brilliant as we've been shipping a lot lately and had become pretty sloppy in defence. Some great individual performances out there today, too.
