[NSC] How does the Search work?

I tried to find another part of the Forum to post this on instead of the Big Board but couldn't post in the more appropriate ones so thought I'd post it here.

Anyone else have trouble finding threads using the Quick Search box? For instance, today I wanted to find a thread I'd started on the England Women playing at the Amex and a search for terms that are in the thread title and first thread post itself at least like 'England' 'Women' and 'Zealand' (their opponents) didn't return it.

Obviously it was easy for me to find another way as I'd posted in it but I just wondered if someone could explain what I'm doing wrong with the quick search as this is often the case when I try and find a thread.

Ta! :)

do you want the MySQL query, or the MapReduce process as Google's been mentioned?

NSC's search always reminds me of this

I do what Bozza recommends, as I can never find the tracker thread on NSC. What putting "NSC bedwetting giraffe tracker" into google does to my search history analysis for advertisers I have no idea!
