You do actually. They're long sessions and they may not be physically demanding but concentrating for five hours plus (often twice a day) is mentally strenuous. I worked at the European Bridge Championship in 1975 (it was there that I met Attila) and I was amazed how full on it was.

The only surprise is that more players aren't caught with chemical assistance.

I am not quite sure how they have mixed up the medical preparation for a gender transition with a performance enhancing drug in something that is neither a sport nor, strictly speaking, involves any sort of performance.

There's a very, very long list of top players who have been caught cheating - including (shock, horror) a British pair (Schapiro and Reese)
