Yesterday my laptop cursor started to wobble and wouldn't open any Google searches.

A message then popped up "Poper ad block has crashed so click on balloon to reset."

Firstly, never heard of Poper or its connection with Google browser. Secondly there was no balloon to click.

Racked my brain to sort but hit a brick wall. Currently using Internet Explorer as a temporary measure.

Thanks posts 2 & 3, have tried both of them. Take on board re IE. Have got Edge so will use that for now.

Of course, I have emailed Poper but no response so far.

Have any of you heard of it?

Open Chrome
Enter chrome://extensions/ in the address bar
Poper will show in the list of extensions
Click remove
Restart PC
Try Chrome again
I use Adblock Plus and have never had any issues, would recommend installing that once you've got Chrome working again.

A quick google tells me this Poper Blocker could be spyware. Run a scan asap
