[Football] 50 years ago today: Moore/Hurst/Peters succumb to 3rd Div relegation fodder

On this very evening 50 years ago, fifth placed West Ham Utd (1st Div) visited Field Mill for a 5th Round tie that had been postponed five times. Their loss made it one of the great FA Cup giant killings but the 3-0 scoreline made it one of the greatest FA Cup shocks of all time. By the time the 6th Round came, they had already appeared in the semi-final draw but were unlucky to lose 0-1 at home to Leicester as Peter Shilton played a blinder, apparently. The Stags finished the season 3 points above the 21st club in the 3rd Division.
The heroes and villains that night:

MANSFIELD TOWN: Hollins, Pate, Hopkinson, Quigley, Boam, Waller, Keeley (37), N. Sharkey (49) Ledger, Melling, Goodfellow, D. Roberts (22)

WEST HAM: Bobby Ferguson, Bobby Moore, Alan Stephenson, Bobby Howe, Billy Bonds, Trevor Brooking, Jimmy Lindsay (Ronnie Boyce), Martin Peters, John Sissons, Geoff Hurst, Harry Redknapp.

Strange how that one's often forgotten about, yet everyone remembers Colchester v Leeds.
