Working in Wales this week and staying in St David's Hotel Cardiff Bay.

Walked in the bar and there's Duncan Ferguson. Had quite a chat with him. His impressed with Brighton and the fact the fans fought for the very existence of the club. Told him Everton need to win tomorrow and forget the derby at the weekend!!

Twice he caught violent burglars in his home, delivered a couple of whacks and held them until police arrived. Legend.

One of my favourite non Brighton players was Duncan Ferguson
Saw him in a Kwik Save in Liverpool once back in the day although didn't say a dicky bird to him
Hard nut like our own Doug Rougvie (similar gait)

Really approachable and took time to engage with a multitude of people.. Nothing appeared to be too much trouble.

Reminds me of the recent story when a guy tried to steal a phone from a young woman. Unfortunately she was a pro MMA fighter.....https://edition.cnn.com/2019/01/08/...il-octagon-mma-dana-white-spt-intl/index.html

His face looks a bit messy.

He also got arrested for beating someone up in a fishing village whilst dressed as a woman. Apparently a local fisherman goaded him. He does make me chuckle at times.

I love the story about when he served his time in Barlinnie Prison, an associate of a Glaswegian 'Mr Big' gangster approached him offering him protection from any unwanted attention whilst inside and he replied rather bluntly that he didn't need any.

Similarly in 2014, 4 intruders entered the Texas home of MMA fighter Joe Torrez, armed with a shank. It ended with one dead, another rearranged and the other 2 later handed themselves in.

In each of the Duncan Ferguson burglaries, the career criminsls spent a few days in hospital. Giving the impression that he fired off some salvo’s before the police arrived.
