[Albion] Orlandi forced to retire due to heart condition

Former Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Andrea Orlandi has had to retire at the age of 34 after discovering he has heart disease.

Orlandi is currently contracted to Italian Serie C side Virtus Entella, but has been made to prematurely call time on his career after problems detected in a recent medical.

What horrible news, obviously his health comes first but for him to be robbed of his career in this way is cruel. A tremendous player and all round great bloke by all accounts.Get well soon Andrea.

Wowsers. As others have said, sad news - but glad it was picked up before anything serious happened.
