Alaves supporters held a mock funeral during their La Liga win over Levante in protest at the match being switched to Monday night for live TV coverage.

A large number of fans also boycotted the kick-off, entering the ground five minutes late.

A banner saying 'RIP Football' was held up as fans dressed in black carried a coffin into the stadium.

I think the most pressing question TBH is "did the coffin have a lid on it?"

Before anyone suggests it, no, I'm having none of it. 27,000 people trying to get into the Amex whilst removing lids off drinks and storing flasks, it'd be half time before you got to your seat

Imagine trying to get a coffin into the Amex to do this stunt there?

Meopham, Kent.
With PB around it would be a difficult undertaking I'm sure.

I think you are being harsh. PB only bans stuff that will lead to us buying more from the club, and until we start selling coffins on the concourse, I can't think of the financial, erm, I mean health and safety, benefit to the club of banning coffins.

The banned list gets longer. Knives, guns, fireworks, bird scarers, flasks, bottle tops and now coffins.
