Surely #barberout this time...

"Brighton & Hove Albion are turning a negative into a positive by donating tickets reclaimed from anti-social fans to local children, who otherwise might not have the chance to watch Premier League football.

The club has made a number of tickets available to children via the Rocking Horse Children’s Charity, Extratime – a charity that works with children and young people with disabilities in Brighton & Hove – and by working with Brighton & Hove City Council’s fostering services.

The tickets are those which have been reclaimed from fans who’ve been excluded from the stadium due to anti-social behaviour, although the club has re-allocated the seats within the stadium."

Cynical PR from our favourite moneyman.

Sounds like a handful of tickets - many of which as single seats would have been hard to shift anyway.

Will be a DISGRACE if the South Stand is half empty on Saturday.

Sounds like a handful of tickets - many of which as single seats would have been hard to shift anyway. Makes it sound like a major initiative.

Will be a DISGRACE if the South Stand is half empty on Saturday.

Tough audience in today, jem.

Or the actual seats of those banned have been offered to the next on the waiting list who were after single seats and a small group of seats current not STH seats have been offered to the charity. Its not as if one seat would be given to a child within a full row

"...the club has re-allocated the seats within the stadium."
That still leaves the hard to shift singles though. Gazwag has the answer to how these might be dealt with if they chose to sell them as new STs...

BarberOut can’t win, can he? This action reduces the income the club could generate, by giving seats away to kids, and still he gets accused of being a “moneyman”. Couldn’t make it up.

Good for him . He knows how to get himself good publicity but lets face it it is about very few tickets and doubt includes games against big boys. Appreciate ticket prices were reduced against West Brom but shelf was empty. Surely these could have been given to children or the needy.

I wonder how many seats / tickets are involved? How many people have been banned / declined tickets this season?

That's really positive news, good to hear. Hopefully a few more of the local disadvantaged kids will be able to attend as the season progresses as a result of concealed bottle caps, flasks and watnot. It's a win win for me.

The expression damned if you do, damned if you don’t springs to mind here. Really don’t know what more the club could have done to prevent the negative aholes on here having a moan!

Oi I haven't mentioned this at all!

Good of Millwall to follow suit with all the spare tickets they've generated after the Everton game.

These lads should have a cracking day out at their first football match:-

I do hope this is a satirical post.

Luckily the charity boss quoted in the piece has seen right through this half hearted measure by PB.

“We’re so grateful to the Albion for offering tickets for some of our families to attend matches.
“The club have been really accommodating to ensure the young people we support who have a range of disabilities and additional needs, can enjoy the match day experience"
