The West Indies are 1-0 up in the 3 match series, after their thumping 381 run win in Bridgetown.

England has dropped the hapless Keaton Jennings from their 12-man squad, and called up the uncapped Joe Denly.

Former England captain Alastair Cook describes the decision as "brave".

Left-arm spinner Jack Leach replaces Adil Rashid - the leg-spinner will return home during the second Test because his wife is expecting their second child.

England 12-man squad for second Test: Rory Burns, Joe Denly, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root (c), Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Moeen Ali, Ben Foakes, Sam Curran, Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Jack Leach.

Is this meant to be an OFFICIAL match thread...?

1.10pm: And George* says Jack Leach is the man to miss out for England, so that means just one spinner, and two changes from Barbados: Denly in for Keaton Jennings and Stuart Broad replacing Adil Rashid, who is set to fly home to attend the birth of his child.

1.05pm: First things first: it has been raining this morning in Antigua. Seems like we'll be ready to get going on time, though, according to George*. There's a pea-green tinge to the pitch, though the Sir Viv is reputed to be a good place to bat. Tricky toss to call...? Joe Denly has received his cap from Matt Prior, a mere decade after he made his England bow in limited-overs cricket. Suspect he wouldn't mind a day in the field, just to get his head around things.

It's a thread about the cricket. Official? or even OFFICIAL, frankly who gives a toss?
And now we've lost the TOSS. Were DOOMED.

Prefer the old Antigua ground, as that is a proper ground. This is a bit like an identikit ground.

Should be a good day today.

Good day to put a big score on, monumental error by Windies inserting us, think we will make them pay. 270/2

We're on our way.... FOUR :clap2:

4.2 Roach to Burns, FOUR runs, on the toes, too straight from Roach and clipped supremely out through square leg! He played that shot beautifully in Barbados, and has picked up where he left off
