What is going on with all the cringe worthy emojis on every post ?

Stuffed by the second bottom team yesterday and all the Twitter updates have hearts / flowers / stars etc .... It's embarrassing.

Surely the marketing department have some kind of handle on who the target audience is or is this just a wind up ?!

Emoji's are part of the language of social media. No escape from it.
Emojis are great.

But hearts, flowers etc on a football feed is completely misjudged. I don't see this from any other club.

It is embarrassing....

It'a Twitter feed, ffs. It's only embarrassing if you let yourself be embarrassed by it

My facebook has become overrun with constant Brighton updates. One or two a day telling me ticket, transfer or match news is OK but I'm getting loads. Most seem to be sponsored by etoro as well.

Someone being embarrassed about something someone else has done and that someone else being someone tasked with using social media in a way that appeals to your standard social media user - i.e. youngsters who use emojis Is the OP a 12 year old girl?

Yes I'm surprised that the etoro sponsorship hasn't been questioned.

They are an agressive spread betting firm. This link up makes me feel slightly uneasy.

I see yellow hearts (probably because we were playing in yellow) after the #bhafc but where are the flowers and stars?

I'm no marketing expert but I don't believe in a million years that the average user of bhafc's Twitter feed communicates in the same way as that feed.

I think I saw one of their ads on the TVs on Saturday that seemed to suggest that 60% of investors lose money. May well have misread but if that is the case, what the hell is the club doing promoting them? I am sure some people will argue the same about casinos sponsorship but someone selling themselves as an investment seems completely different to me.

Well that didn't take long. Turns out I did misread but it is a lot worse.

This is how Facebook works though...

If you don't want to see everything the club post, then disengage a little from all things Albion on Facebook and maybe diversify your likes/engagements a bit. The algorithm is made to throw out as much content you are interested in as possible and if you aren't engaging in anything but Albion stuff that is all your feed will give you.
