These aren't the players you're looking for.

Odd comment considering our two mainstays in midfield both pass forward more than they do backwards.

0 assists
1 big chance created
3 through balls

I'm not saying Propper and Stephens are doing a bad job, but there is room for improvement. These stats in particular need to improve.

Obviously Murray doesn't like through balls, but even when we play Andone up top, they still fail to play an incisive through ball for him to run onto. On a number of occasions yesterday, Locadia and March were in acres of space but Stephens just didn't see it or lacked the confidence to attempt a pass to them.

This isn't a huge moan, just a minor gripe.

This is going to need tracking I’m afraid.

The concern is that on-flight negotiations could see the flight rerouted to somewhere like Bournemouth or West Ham. We need to keep tabs on this situation.

Flight to leave from Bueno Aires one would assume?

Is that for the whole season? They did more than that between them in just the Arsenal game

Not according to the Premier League website statisticians.

0 assists, 1 big chance created, 3 through balls?all season?

Against arsenal you had propper assist for locadia, stephens creating a 'big chance' for march (1 on1) and sending a beautiful cross ball to locadia for his shot narrowly wide, another 'big chance' in my book.

Obviously not for some bloke with a spreadsheet, but what do they know

I can report that he's not at Gatwick this morning, at least not in the North terminal. I can however confirm the fresh hell of a early Monday morning flight.

Exciting! I was kind of hoping we(is it ok to write we when I haven't been in Brighton since I lived there briefly as a one year old kid back in 1983?) wouldn't buy anyone this window. It's dificult to join in january from a different league, but this kid looks like he could fill a hole in our squad.

He just turned 20 years this christmas, and does not need to be named in the 25-man squad right? Not this season, not next?

10M£ has to be one for the first team. He already has two seasons in a top division. Hope he joins now. Most players need time to adapt to the speed, and he most likely won't be able to do that down there. Pluss I can't wait :D

Like Bernardo his father was a professional fotballer... Is that a new strategy in our scouting? Are we looking for kids of ex footballers?

Intresting club history https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argentinos_Juniors
The club was founded in the Villa Crespo neighbourhood of Buenos Aires on 14 August 1904, by a group of anarchist boys that were part of club "Mártires de Chicago" (chosen in homage to the eight anarchists imprisoned or hanged after the 1886 Haymarket Riot in Chicago).[...] The club immediately adopted the red and white colors as an homage to deputy Alfredo Palacios, the first congressman elected from the Socialist Party in Argentina.
I guess they would vote leave...

Today's copy of Olé (argentinian press) claims:

BRIGHTON WILL GIVE IT A LOAN.

The dream of Alexis Mac Allister in the Premier League will have a few months of waiting. Since the down payment does not have a community passport, it would occupy a quota of foreigner. The problem is that the Brighton, the new team of the 10, already has this complete category and would cede his new player to a team of the second division of England so that the midfielder does not lose football rhythm.

In June, he will compete in England's top soccer category to play in Las Gaviotas.

That doesn't really make much sense though. As due to his age I don't think he would count towards the squad cap. Not having a work permit would sound far more likely, which would make a loan outside of England more likely. There was some paper talk about him going back to Argentinos Juniors on loan for the time being.

I wonder with this and Percy if Tony is gambling on the work permit rules changing with Brexit?

Talk of us buying him and then loaning to Boca Juniors until the summer.
