Had to look this up. Spurs swung quite a deal...

"Son will be available for Spurs’ home game against Manchester United on Sunday 13 January and will fly to the UAE after that contest. This means he is going to miss South Korea’s first two group games against Philippines and Kyrgyzstan, arriving in time for their clash with China on 16 January."

Not as big as Cardiff

Managed to get the keeper dropped from Philippines squad all together.

I assume it’s to do with letting Son play in the Asian games in aug

Because he missed the beginning of the season playing for South Korea in a tournament which also meant he avoided military service.
