Didn’t even get mentioned on MOTD last night. If Aguero scored it would have been shown a gazillion times. Is this wrong or should we keep Andone under the radar.

TV/radio will always have their favourites, and those that get the token mention. 5Live in the morning seems obsessed with anything Mourinho says in press conferences.

That game proved how disinterested the media are in all but a very few of the teams- it was an absolute humdinger of a game- had everything!

The media sell to consumers. If the consumers are interested, the media will cover it. I don't think you can blame the media, they're only selling to their audience. Unfortunately, when you consider the millions that consume the coverage, only a small percentage actually go to games and support a team, or care about what is going on in a little known rivalry in Sussex.

I'll also defend the media in that in my lifetime you barely had anything written about non-league let alone live games all season, coverage and highlight packages. It ain't all bad.

It's a complete joke they didn't give it some air-time, as was the whole 'analysis' of our game.

I know we're not a big club, and they generally won't talk about us as much as the top 6, but this week they were particularly poor.

Anyway, on the subject of Andone's goal - each time I watch it (and I've seen it so many times now that even I'm starting to think there's something a little wrong with me) I still can't believe he scores, and I just start grinning like a maniac.

But Mourinho got angry and kicked something so of course the media is going to be full of that and not actually football.

I don't think his goal is quite as good as being made out. If Tomkins wasn't cripplingly useless he wouldn't have scored......
Well it's related to the fact it was against Palace, we were down to 10 men and holding out until half time, and when the ball was cleared no one apart from him could really have been thinking we had a chance of scoring. We're not saying it was PL goal of the season, but it was pretty good, and they didn't even mention it. As others have said, if it was scored by a big club they'd have waxed lyrical.

Quite, not sure who it was, think it was the premier league who tweeted something like "one of the games of the season" on Tuesday night after the game
The BBC site says "Brighton produced one of the best Premier League performances of the season to sweep aside Crystal Palace despite playing for 62 minutes with only 10 men."

Well the pundits didn't act like it was.

It was goal of the millenium judging by the celebrations in my front room :lolol:

I just assume because the game wasn't on the same day as motd they put it on the back-end of the programme and rushed through it. Fair enough I reckon. One of these days our derby will be the main Sunday game, if them lot can keep themselves up that is
