Okay, I can tell everyone is really missing this thread so let's modify it a little bit.

For many of the pairs of letters, there were more than one suggestion for lots of them, so lets get a definitive list for each pair. Of course, there will be many where we can get none, so they can be skipped.

So, for each pair of letters use them to come up with two words each starting with the letters that have an Albion connection. Can be players, dates, officials, grounds anything as long as it is just two words. Get as many couplets as possible for each pair of letters. Try not to move onto the next one until we think we have exhausted the current one. Feel free to go back and check the original list and use them to get started.

So, AA looks like a good place to start:

Andy Ansah - Played for the Albion
Albert Adoma - Played for Boro in THAT game, and there is a story, not sure if its true of him following the Albion coach giving them 'banter'. Also played in the Villa team that denied us the Championship title a year later.
Arthur Albiston - Played in the '83 Cup finals against us.
Arsenal Away - Never won there.

That sort of thing.

A Allen - 1 appearance back in 1903
Arthur Archer - Just one season for us
Arthur Armstong - Bit part player
Arthur Attwood - Scored 6 times v Shoreham in our record FA Cup win.
Alfred Ault - 1 appearance, 1 Goal

Aldershot Away - Always a fun day out whatever the score.

After Archer - Things only went and got better
