Genuine question but Palace seem to be of the opinion they have regularly beaten us in recent years and been the better team. In my mind this is pretty even since say we moved to the Amex?

I remember a bunch of draws, a couple of wins for them and a couple of wins for us. Are they deluded about their recent record against us or has it indeed be fairly even?

Someone do the analysis please !

Since the opening of the Amex (including the playoff and FA Cup games)

Brighton wins 3 (scored 12)
Draws 3
Palace wins 4 (scored 14)

So after last night they hold a slight advantage in the head to head but its not like they are miles ahead is it now.

Definitely the 'teachers' then whilst we are the 'pupils'

Fun Fact - They have NEVER done the double over us (beating us home and away in the league in the same season).

They also never beat us at the Goldstone. This is a far better stat than any claim that they were the first team to beat us at the Amex, which they weren't.

That simply isn't true. They beat us in the Full Members Cup in the 90/91 season. They also beat us a couple of times in the league, once in the 1960s and once in the 1930s. Remember they are miles ahead and we need to respect our teachers.

Where do you get your information from? Dec 25 and 27 1920, they beat us home and away! In 1963 they also beat us at the Goldstone.

Don't you just love this world of fake news!!!!

But if you're a Palace fan, you have to overlook the FA Cup defeat as it wasn't a serious game, just two reserve sides where both managers would have been happy to have lost the game.

Except the season before they made the FA Cup final? Or was it not a proper game that season either

I think it’s fair to say that after our first meeting in decades, we left Selhurst but the learners. Now WE are their masters.
