Pales into insignificance, with all of the stabbings we're having up here lately.

Not so - apparently the murder rate then was 15-20 times higher than now.
However, that could be due to the fact that medical care is immensely improved nowadays, and many of the attacks carried out in those days would not have resulted in death, with today's medical care

You're obviously correct.
It just feels like it at the moment :)

Amazing that only 9 are female? Must be all those guys with their quarter staffs...11 of them....think of the carnage that would have ensued had they had half staffs or three quarter staffs! Civilisation, as we know it would have been stopped with full staffs...

For someone who never really studied medieval times the names and dates are great, and dare I say very European :lol:
