[Albion] Burnley away - Northern train strike likely

Northern Trains have been on strike on Saturdays for some time now. They release a different set of timetables every week, generally on a Thursday.

The one for 24 November has no direct trains from Preston to Burnley Manchester Road, instead there is one decently timed train to Blackburn, and then a bus to Burnley Central.

If it's the same on the 8th, it won't be great.

3hrs 24 minutes to get there. 16hrs 24 minutes to get home! Or maybe 1hr 20mins to drive.

No wonder passenger numbers are dropping.

That looks like the express service on the left hand side, overtaking the stopping train. :D

The driver on the left looks a bit bemused , he's probably asking the statioon master what happened to the tracks that were there yesterday , reply " Network Improvements mate "

Strikes still on - despite the intervention from Transport for the North. However, there are buses to Blackburn then trains to Preston and back to London by 22:42.
