I've noticed hardly any poppies being worn yet.

Have I gone too early with mine, or do you think people just don't embrace this anymore?

If I start wearing a paper poppy now, it's in a terrible state by November 11th, so I stick to my metal badge poppy.

I always wear one but haven't seen a collection box/cadet/chealsea pensioner about yet. In fact I dont think I have seen anyone else wearing one yet either so just too early (have you just used last years to save a couple of quid?)

The 2018 appeal doesn't officially start until October 25 this year, so that's why you haven't seen any on sale yet.

Stick with my RSM's instructions-to be worn on 11/11,and on any Remembrance Sunday parade only.

Same here. I will certainly wear one (probably a couple, as I always seem to lose one) but I just haven't seen any on sale yet.

Clearly not, it's October.

Given that they're going to ban plastic straws, will poppies be next? I would've thought it would be easily possible to make them entirely of paper/card?

I will when I see one on sale... I like to stick mine in my helmet when cycling.
