Songs that start out as catterpillars & turn into butterflies part way through, OMG stylee

For me the real jaw droppers are the one's with the least expcted transition into lovliness. I didn't like this group's first recording much. I was listening to this track thinking, yeah, whatever, then all of a sudden, WTAF What have you got that gives the same response?

This is more like the life cycle of a star. Swimmers for a bit, then suddenly explodes, burns, explodes again and the n slowly fades.away into infinity.
Proper wall of sonic cathedral noise stuff.Up there with MBV 'Soon'.
