WHITEHAWK FOOTBALL CLUB WELCOMES ‘NON-LEAGUE DAY’ WITH HALF PRICE ENTRY AND A CELEBRATION OF GRASS ROOTS FOOTBALL!

Over fifty mascots from local Junior side Hollingbury Hawks, a top London DJ who plays seven-inch vinyl singles on an Ironing board, a half-time penalty shoot out, and tickets at just £5, are just some of the activities that Whitehawk Football Club are offering on ‘Non-League Day’ next Saturday, October 13, as The Hawks welcome fellow Bostik Premier side Brightlingsea Regent to the Terrapura Ground, kick off 3pm.

Set up by non-league football fan James Doe in 2010, Non-League Day is a celebration of grassroots football, and timed so that it falls on specific days in the calendar when there are no Premier League or Championship matches scheduled. Fans of top sides are encouraged to visit their local football club, ‘wear their shirt,' and enjoy grass roots football at its very best. It has now grown to become an annual part of the football calendar, backed by Premier League and Football League clubs, MPs, celebrities, media organisations, charities and most importantly the non-league clubs themselves and the fans who turn up on the day.

The Hawks are also supported on the day by football’s equality and inclusion organisation, Kick It Out/Fans For Diversity, The Football Supporters Federation, and leading Charities Mind In Brighton & Hove and Prostate Cancer UK. Match sponsors for the day are the fans; The Whitehawk ‘Ultras’, and as well as live music from Arsenal FC’s ‘Piebury Corner’ stalwart DJ Ironing board, there will be raffles, a golden goal competition, a host of Whitehawk legends from yesteryear and much more besides. Doors open from 12:30pm...

Here's the poster... Look forward to welcoming you back! #wearyershirt!
