Number one story on BBC website and appears to have broken Twitter. Fullsome praise on Twitter by some including the Suns royal correspondent who tweeted "A princess who still takes the time to shut her car door. Well done Meghan, she did it with all the elegance of Royalty which is why the Nation loves her so much."

Wonder if she spent the weekend putting sound proof mats in the panels, like I did? I've been opening and closing my doors frequently and quietly this week.

I hope the appropriate risk assessments had been carried out to allow a duchess to shut the car door - you never know, there might be elfin safety risks nobody has thought of yet.

I think this is heart warming to see that Royalty are just like us really, doing the things that their public do, mucking in with us. If Lady Sussex can close a door, then so can I. Never again will I stand in front of an open door. I'm inspired now. I'm going to close it.
