Joint second top scorer in the Premier League after five game having shown balls of steel to tuck that penalty away tonight.

But, the celebrations of the man! For a dour miserable Northerner who never smiles (nor applauds the fans), he seems to be absolutely LOVING each and every goal he sticks away.

What a man!

Isolated and anonymous in the game, drifting out wide which is the last place I want to see him, but as always he grafted for the team and there was nobody else in that XI who I wanted to see behind that spot kick. He missed two costly ones last season, but he's undoubtedly the best we've got on pen duty now that Hemed is bumming it in the lower leagues.

Speaking of which...any chance we could get Tomer back in January and bin off Jurgen somewhere ? Anywhere ?

My Liverpool mate has just texted me to say ‘imagine how much he’d be worth if he was a few years younger’. I think we all know the answer to that is “absolutely nothing”

Think the tax man might have a say about that ! Lester Piggott didn't get one.

Being investigated isn't the same thing as being charged.

Glenn is like fine wine and gets better as he gets older. Bruno must be passing on his anti ageing tips.

Dissapointed no one is having a go at me now for wanting Murray back...

Wait for it though... he goes 4 weeks without a goal and he will be finished...

Hes a top player, will still be doing it for us next season.

Averaging a goal every 3 games, less if you calculate the minutes as many sub appearances.

35th birthday next week!

He gets the job done time and time again. Proven legend and yet many a fan still have their knickers in a twist about him going to Palace.
