Climax of the Battle was September 15th 1940, always commemorated on the closest Sunday to the date i.e. tomorrow.

I will be at St Mary's Church Storrington for the Commemoration Service, we have a BoB fighter pilot buried here, Flight Lieutenant CR Davis DFC killed in action flying with 601 Squadron from RAF Tangmere 6th September 1940.

Service went very well, amongst the Old Boys attending was one with a chest full of medals including a DFC and DSO.

Didn't ask him what his story was, really should have done, every chance he won't be around for next years.

During the Service it was apparent one of the Air Training Corps Cadets forgot to mute their Mobile, no doubt an Interview Without Coffee coming up... :lolol:
