Due to lockdown, not seen the Garden Valley works for yonks. Really really looking forward to seeing the progress. It's laid down the marker for the next hundred years. Future generations will thank us for it. And, as usual, the c****s in cars can f*** right off. We're reclaiming this town, whether you like it or not. Suck it up, basically

Yes and :bla: :bla: we DO note the plight of delivery drivers. Guess what? There will be a workaround provided

Fair point although nothing should stop veteran cars, bikes, commercial vehicles and the Brighton Burn-up. They help make Brighton what it is, in a nice way. And what about the speed trials?

Absolutely. we don't want to lose any of that. It would need to be closed in the same way it is now, about 10/12 days a year.

Madeira drive is going to be one way as part of valley gardens 3. I would close it to all traffic from, say, 10AM too 10PM or what ever works, so traders can organise deliveries early or late. Bikes, would keep the existing track

You've certainly met the stereotype of a foul mouthed, aggressive, f*** everybody else cyclist. Nicely played.

Won't work in Brighton as it's a tourist destination.

Although I believe there are a few minor snaffoo's that need ironing out.
The main one being New Yorkers ploughing through the outdoor seating and restaurant in their giant SUV's.

Bloody lovely walking down there today. Loads of space, totally seperate cycle lane away from the traffic and really quiet. Seems a complete success to me.

Cycled down through the Level onto the rebooted area today - bloody lovely, they just need to sort out the last bit.
