[Technology] Music identification software recommendations

I'm wondering what other people use for using Gracenote (or a decent alternative) to automatically recognize music I have recorded from my turntable. Splitting the one large file into tracks automatically (with the option to override) would be nice. I used to have one program that did everything except make a cup of tea but I changed PC and now can't remember what it was called. But I'm sure there are good people out there with advice.

(PS I have tried turning it off and on again).
