Tony Bloom, Brighton & Hove Albion’s Chairman, will be made and Honorary Doctor of Science by the University of Brighton during Summer Graduation ceremonies next week (July 31 – August 3).
The award is in recognition of “his impact on the community and major contribution to business in the city of Brighton and Hove”.

God is an HD

Well earnt by the man who unequivocally saved the Albion

Is Dick Knight getting one too? Saw him in the Dolphin Leisure last week, didn't look too chirpy.

Well done Tony, this honorary doctorate has cost him less than the standard student debt after graduating university too.

I think he got to be a Freeman of Brighton and Hove - never thought honorary doctorates were worth the parchment they’re written on.
It only means that the university are looking for some kudos and some financial backing and support they don't give these things away for nothing and in the long run it will cost Tony a lot more than the student debt
