I was thinking about this the other day (I know), does anyone know why a slip road onto the A27 was never built here? Surely it would help a lot?

It's an uphill bit so maybe the were worried about slow moving traffic joining and causing congestion, who knows?

That was my thought, it's a very fast bend that - adjoining traffic (especially HGVs) would struggle to get up to speed
