[TV] Peter York's Hipster Handbook

So. Been a huge fan of Peter York ever since his superb 1980's 'Style Wars', an NME-reader's (soon to be The Face-reader's) bible of the shifting sands of youth and style cultures of day. Peter York is the UK equivalent of laser-beamed-vision detached analyst Tom Wolfe. Was really looking for to his BBC4 'Hipster Handbook' earlier this week, but was gutted to miss it, mainly on account of it being aired at 2am. But finally watched it on catch-up this morning and am happy to report that it is everything it promised to be, and far far more. Just about as viciously smart and incisive TV as you'll see all week. Any week. Don't miss the beard barber segment.
