Yes, it's been a great World Cup, run very smoothly apart from the interlopers on the pitch today. However, an idea came to me that would benefit us (England) greatly.
Why not make a ruling that each country represented has to name players who play in their own national leagues ?
Many supporters from the countries in there now, have probably never seen their players 'live' , as such...............obviously they'll have seen them on satellite / cable telly, but if they play week n week out at home, they (the supporters) will have more of an infinity with them.
Would decimate our football here, but at best our younger players will get a look in at playing for their clubs...................................

A World Cup without any world class players? That'd be entertaining.

It wouldn’t decimate our football here......too much money involved. It would just cement absolutely ‘club over country’ and the WC would be shit.

How would that improve the England team, given that the younger players are only playing against other English players and not being exposed to playing against better quality players.
At least at the present if a young English player breaks into the first team then he must have something about him. But if the overseas players depart then he may well be part of the first team just to make the numbers up.

All 4 English teams crashing out of Europe at the group stage, and England failing to qualify for the Euros or World Cup, as our FIFA seeding falls into the mid 80s.

Brilliant idea, next
