We are having a new kitchen fitted which has meant a rewire of the kitchen. The electrician has put the freezer, the boiler, the washing machine and an extractor fan all on seperate spurred fused sockets but has put a double socket on the wall which will be behind the frudge freezer hence only 1 socket can be used and in the event of a problem we could not switch off just that appliance. Is this acceptable and legal?

Why not just ask him BG, I'm sure he will not be offended, but dont ask him to tie his horse up first

The electricians are next door doing the same but not the same pair of men. We asked them and they said they would sort it but as it is not on their job sheet schedule unless it is added they cannot do anything.

It's up to you, whether, it's acceptable or not. It is legal, if the frudge is not integrated. You can unplig the frudge by pilling ut away from the plig.
