like you say, those bundles were exceptional value

first discovered his shop in the back of old wembley programmes

only 400 programmes were made for the 1973 European Cup Final?

glad he's still going strong, thought it was a rip jobby for a minute

Must have bought programmes from him - or someone very much like him - because I appear to have from my boyhood collection, for some reason long lost to the mists of time, not one but TWO programmes from the ManU Benfica 1968 European Cup Final.

In the 70's, I used to buy random programmes from the Albion's hut at the Goldstone during game time (located behind the small NW terrace).

Still have them all now.

Clubs and the FA for Webmley, seemed to pass surpluses to other clubs.

I think I sent a fiver off once many many years ago, and got a completely random bundle of about 30 or 40 programmes back. I used to love all that shit.

yeah, remember getting a Heart of Midlothian programme in such a bundle

up until then I always thought they were called just Hearts

got me interested in Scottish football

I once ordered a Stranraer programme out of curiosty

it was about 6 pages thick and I learn't they got gates of around 200

another thing I used to do was order a programme of a team's next match after they'ed just played Brighton

just to read the report on the game

it was a bit hit & miss this, but quite often would get the reports with a few pics aswell

I remember as a child buying programmes from the shop / office near St Peter’s church. All sorts of clubs across all 4 divisions plus non league. I think the EFL is no longer requiring clubs to produce a match day programme this season - will be interested to see how many stop printing them.
