Last season I almost exclusively travelled to away games by train but am considering using the coach this season.
Who do people recommend Seagulls Travel or Blues Away?
I’ve used ST a couple of times and they’ve been fine, they also pick up from the end of my road in Portslade but it would have to be at the Amex for BT.
Thoughts?

Tried the coach a couple of times but would rather drive TBH....always seems soooooo slow and seems to extend the day significantly.

I've travelled with bluesaway lots over the last 7 or so years.

They are good at what they do. And do their best to get to the ground at least 2 hours before kick off so you can go find an away pub.

Seagulls travel have missed the kick off for quite a few games over the years.

My main worry when travelling by coach, (did it twice the season before last), is that on one occasion we didn't arrive until 20 minutes into the game, and on the other, made it only five minutes before kick off.

It was a long day's travelling anyway, and having to add the 'will we make it or wont we' into the equation, didn't make for a relaxed journey!

That was on the Costa Express by the way, to Bristol City and Birmingham City respectively.

Think you’ve just been unlucky to be fair. Used the costa several times last season with no lates at all.

Blues Away would be my choice - I've seen the Costa Express turn up just as I get to the turnstiles after a couple of pints in the away pub. What I would suggest is that the different companies come to some agreement as to which motorway services they use as loads of coaches turning up at once makes for long queues at the food outlets.

Getting back from Chelsea has put me right off the coach!

But on the other level you get things like the express Police escort away from the King Power. Chelsea was a one-off due to there being no public transport and seemingly no plan by the authorities for getting away fans (especially) away in some sort of order

The Astral Planes, man...
I always travel on ST, never any problems (so far). The only downside may be that when we leave Hove, we may have to go via Hassocks, Burgess Hill, etc to pick up people along the way.

Obviously you didn't travel to Huddersfield, as l understand it only one coach made it to the game, unusually it was the Costa Express, absolute carnage on the M25 I believe.

Have used Seagulls Travel a few times and always arrived in plenty of time for a couple of beers before the game.

With any travel company they are bound to hit some problems. If you use the coach then Motorways get shut, coaches break down (even though most of them are fairly new) and people become ill. I've had issues with trains over the years as well with delays, cancellations, downed overhead lines and, sadly, suicides all making me late or even miss games.

That was the first time I'd ever travelled by coach and whilst it is value for money I'll not be doing it again in a hurry. Had I know what it would be like I would have driven. We travel mainly by train.

I drove to this match and couldn’t even get out of my parking spot for over an hour.

Free on street parking 15 mins from the ground, took just over an hour to get home

This, or otherwise cheap parking (justpark is brilliant, reviews usually include commentary on ease of gett8n* away afterwards), is my preferred option for most aways. No problems at all getting away from places like Stamford Bridge (public car park in Wandsworth), Wembley (10 mins walk, cost about £11), Old Trafford (30 mins walk, cost about £7) etc etc.
