Mathew Norman the journalist, wrote, more than 20 yars ago, that the 4 stages of the mind of an England supporter during a tournament are Fear, Missplaced Optimism, Disappointment, Disgust.

I normally go to disgust after the first game. Oddly I haven't felt any of these, this tournament. Nervous excitement all the way, so far :O:mad:

I think we’ll win but it won’t be comfortable. HATS off to Panama for qualifying though...

That's one way of keeping England's goal difference down.

I'll be watching the game with Octavio, my good friend from Panama.

Savour this last mickey mouse game folks because there's only credible opposition waiting down the line after today

Tom, it's always been a great reassurance to England fans that we can count on the usual Scottish optimism and support.

I think both Panama's full backs ar looked quite good (by Albion standards) and their central defender that plays in Europe quite good as well.

I'm quite pleased Sterling is starting instead of Rashford. I'd rather have a fresher Rashford for later in the tournament, if we progress. Supposed to be very very hot there today.
