Living a ten minute walk up the road we feel obliged to attend, but oh dear it’s just a glorified funfair now.

No parachutists, no donkey derby etc.



It’s a good fundraiser for the Martlets but restore it to its former glory and have the funfair on a separate day.

Used to love going to this when I was younger, I had a feeling that it would be a shadow of its former self now.

Bought some nice cake, though. And got drenched by the rain that no-one on the beach even saw!

That was the bizarre thing yesterday, I was watching it on the radar and it showed it being right over Brighton but I was at my friend's place at Seven Dials and it remained dry.
