Didn't he leave PSG because they were too flimsy/inconsistent under him in the CL? Should fit in well at Arsenal!

Would have been better off with Dick Emery....

Let's hope for a festive fixture against Arsenal so that we can wish them Emery Christmas.

If given time an excellent appointment. Whether the fans will give him the time I’m not sure. What qualifies as success? Champions League qualification?

Initially l think Champions League football will have to qualify as success, having missed out on it for two seasons. Let's wait until Emery's appointment has been officially confirmed first though. Only yesterday Mikel Arteta was odds on to be the new boss.

The BBC didn't report that Arteta was set to be appointed. Looks like Emery is a done deal.

I was about to be disparaging based on his time at PSG (being as my mum would win the League with them). But his achievements at Sevilla amd Valencia are impressive. Looks like a good appointment.
