On just now, a compelling listen. He was sexually abused by a great uncle when he was small, which shaped his aggressive / defensive personality for many years of his life. Eventually he was helped and he seems a grounded person now.

They mentioned that at the beginning. I assume that the timing of this chat, promotes his book.

When Dyer was playing for Ipswich, an Anglia TV reporter was doing some vox pops ahead of a Norwich game and had no idea that Dyer was a player.
