Hi Guys,

One for the football anoraks like myself. Been thinking hard and trying to remember international representation that Brighton has had at previous international tournament. So far I have come up with a short list:

Jiri Skalak - Czech rep 2016 - Oliver Norwood and Shane Duffy signed shortly after tournament
Bobby missing out and Gareth Barry going in 2010 obviously weren’t current playersl
Forster Caskey and Solly March at youth level.

Can anyone think of any others?

He did, against Kuwait in Bilbao, and I was there.

Tony Meola? We had him on loan in 1990 and he was in the USA squad at Italia 90

He was signed after Italia '90 as was John Byrne who was in the Republic of Ireland squad that year.

Gerry Armstrong worked in the cardinal Newman tuck shop for a while years ago. I was so awestruck I couldn’t go and buy a sausage roll

Ok Ok a bit tenuous but Alan Mullery scored in the 1970 World Cup against the Germans. I know this doesn't really count but it was a helluva goal
