The same evening the mens team were playing Man City, Brighton Women played Watford for the second time in 4 days and came away with a close 1-0 away win which leaves them 4 points clear of Millwall in third place in the league.

With two more games to go (against Durham away and then Millwall at home), Albion still have a chance of winning the league although it would require long term leaders Doncaster to lose their last two games and Brighton to win both of theirs.

Well worth their spot in the WSL1 (or whatever it’s going to be called now). Well done everyone!
