In theory we could still finish 9th. Worst we could do is to finish 16th

Additional merit money for each finishing place in the table:

9th. - £23.1m
10th - £21.1m
11th - £19.2m
12th - £17.3m
13th - £15.4m
14th - £13.4m
15th - £11.5m
16th - £9.6m

The differences are quite significant. Two more glorious wins could be worth something like 3 x Pascal Gross for next year!

Differences are significant...going into the final match last season, Burnley could have finished anywhere from 11th to 17th.

We were on the beach and lost 2-1 after taking the lead at home to West Ham to finish a disappointing 16th on 40 points. Even a draw would have had us 13th.

At £1m a pop for every match over ten shown live, how many times were the Albion on live TV in the Premier League this season?

Try again

According to the article linked to above, it's 12 in the PL and 14 overall.

Apologies - I'm rather bleary eyed and counted the Palace cup game as a league game. Checking the programme again, it is in fact showing an anomaly. It's 12 in the League and 2 in the cup but the programme doesn't state Man Utd away in The Cup as being a televised game.

El Presidente Do you have a useful graphic to show the make up of the TV money paid to Premier League clubs for 2018 / 19?

There's about 4 or 5 different components, but I can't recall which they are and which ones are fixed.

I think this is the breakdown

I expect to be in the minority, but if those people watching some of those games in this country, they are stealing and taking money out of my pocket.

Other than the fact that the overseas chunk of the TV money is a fixed amount per club, and UK fans watching a stream of a broadcast intended for Dubai (for example) isn't having an impact on their revenues.

But, yes, legally you are correct.

So, based upon martin tyler s graphic - we will get at least 109 Million (if we finish 16th)

Sky - 38M fixed
TV appearance Money - 14m (10M plus 2-2m for the 11th and 12th TV games)
Overseas - 47M fixed

Position - 16th = 10M, 15th = 12M etc
