Just read somewhere on here that we were one of the top 10 biggest net spenders in Europe this season, so I'm not expecting another summer of breaking records. Looking at the squad, I think depth is the biggest issue, and that is where the Bosman and loan market will come in.
We should be looking at two quality options for each position. Assuming those running out of contract will be going, I'm looking at the following leaving: Krul, Maenppa, Hunemeier, Rosenoir and Sidwell.
So...
GK - Ryan, ?
RB - Bruno (Schelotto)
LB - Bong (Suttner)
CB - Dunk, ?
CB - Duffy (Goldson)
CM - Stephens (Kayal)
CM - Propper, ?
RM - Knockaert (March)
LM - Izquierdo, ?
SS - Gross (Locadia)
CF - Murray (Hemed)
Feels like we need a back up GK, CB, CM & LM
GK - Maybe Krul resigned, or Walton?
CB - Theophile-Catherine
CM - Wilshere/Ki
LM - Younes/Hudson-Odoi (loan)
If Fulham don't go up, I'd definitely go for Fredericks as well. What a player. Also, feels like the striker situation will depend on how convinced CH is by Locadia in pre-season.
